Albert Hairlson

Albert Hairlson (Hike) passed away at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center on 6/24/2020. He was born to Tom and Laura Hairlson on 6/8/1921.
After attending school, Albert enlisted in the army and upon returning home he began working as a construction worker. He was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Harry Walker where he served as a Deacon and Church Treasurer. He loved sports and was a huge UK fan. He had played baseball in the Negro Baseball League. He also loved relaxing on his front porch and speaking with everyone.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents: Tom and Laura Hairlson; wife of 63 years: Silverine Hairlson; sisters: Lois Hairlson and Frances Carter; brothers: Tom Jr. and Tellis Hairlson; and son: Bobby Marshall.
Albert leaves to cherish his memory: son, Charles Marshall; daughter-in-law: Donna Marshall; 2 sisters-in-law: Pearl and Nellie Turner; 2 nieces: Martha and Mary Carter; caregivers:Ruther Eakins and granddaughter, Melissa Marshall; special friend: Stevie Jackson; 8 additional grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Henderson, KY. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Fernwood Cemetery. Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
