On Wednesday morning January 10th at 8:42, the Lord called Ada home at the Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
Ada was born June 19, 1944 in Rosedale, Mississippi. She was the first of eight children born to Robert and Mattie Fox Parker. Ada confessed Jesus at an early age and was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic Faith in Mayfield, KY.
Having lived in Chicago, ILL for forty nine years, Ada retired from Kenwood Nursing Home being loved by co-workers and patients alike. Ada then moved to Mayfield, KY approximately five and a half years ago.
Ada was married to Frank Rogers who preceded her in death. To this union three sons were born: Daryl Rogers, Kendrick Rogers and Eric Rogers.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Annie Parker, Mattie Brown and Marie Parker.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters: Carrie Lester and Cora (Mickey) Stubblefield; three brothers: William Fox Parker, John Henry Parker, all of Mayfield, KY., and Robert Fox Parker, Jr. who followed her approximately four days later in death. Also grandchildren: Taminisha Jackson, Frank Rogers, Ronald Rogers, Eric Rogers, Jr. and Valarie Marie Rogers. Ada has much extended family and friends. A very close brother-in-law, Richard Brown of Memphis, Tenn.; sister-in-law: Louise Parker of Jackson, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
