James "Jim" Ray Bumpus

James “Jim” Ray Bumpus, age 74, of Henderson, KY passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Deaconess Hospital in Henderson, KY.
James was born on July 08, 1947, in Mt. Vernon, IL. to the late Dallas Bumpus and Willadean Howell.
He was employed with Alcan for 20 years. James was a hardworking man, a great father, a proud grandpa, and a loving husband. He loved his family more than anything and he did everything he could to make them happy.
James loved sports and he was a diehard fan of the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals. Anyone that knew him could tell you that you couldn’t make it past him without him talking to you about sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Bumpus.
James is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rhonda Bumpus; three sons: James Scott Bumpus, Jason (Angie) Bumpus, and Jeffrey (Jennifer); one daughter: Carolyn Richmond; one stepson: Christopher (Amanda) Willett; two stepdaughters: Misty (Thomas) Hayden and April Willett; three brothers: Jerry (Donna) Bumpus, Dallas Bumpus, and George (Carol) Bumpus; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to James’s Memorial Service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel, 1322 Helm St. in Henderson, KY. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, 1807 S. Green St. in Henderson, KY. A mask is required.
