Bruce McGuire

Bruce “Chinese” McGuire, 67, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2023 a Select Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Bruce was the son of the late Hubert L. Sr. and Mary Catherine McGuire.
Bruce loved his family and friends. He loved UK Basketball and Indianapolis Colts Football. He loved watching game shows – Family Feud and The Price is Right. Tincey would get a laugh by calling him just to see if he was watching them. Bruce was baptized at Holy Name Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters, grandchild: Messiah Johnson; and special friend: Archie Hatchett.
He is survived by children: Michelle Butler and Mario Hazelwood; grandchildren: LaRaya Butler, Jayvion Butler, Serenity Butler, and Messiah Johnson (deceased); brother: Bobby (Barb) McGuire, Hubert McGuire Jr., Michael McGuire; sisters: Donna (Bobby-deceased) Marshall, Linda McGuire, Sue Gail (John – deceased) Clark, Tina McGuire-Waddell, and Barbara (Mose) Johnson-Goffner; sister-in-law: Debbie (Donald-deceased) McGuire; special nieces: Kim Amos and Tamara McGuire; special friend: B.Y. Norris; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Thanks to the staff at Deaconess Methodist Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital for the care extended to Bruce.
